Sandra Laing was born in 1955. Her father's parents were from Germany. Her mother was an Afrikaner and was probably the conduit for "coloured" blood. Sandra had a tough life after eloping with one of her father's African employees when she was a teen but she is now happily married to her third husband and has six kids. She did not see her father for 27 years and he died without ever seeing her again. She traced her mother to an old-age home a few years ago and was reconciled before the old lady died. Her brothers refuse to see her.
